Partners, Not Money Investors
In a typical real estate deal you have investors and deal makers. Deal makers find the deal and put it together and investors provide the cash. The connection is one of convenience and based solely around the anticipated profits/expenses of the deal.
For our deals, we look for partners.
Partners who share similar values and goals as we do. Hey, we ALL want to make a profit, but we are interested in more than that. The profit goal is a ‘minimum’ for us, not just the end goal.
Partners share:
- Common goals (Make money, save the planet, leave a legacy).
- Revenue (cash flow, equity, sale proceeds, etc).
- Commitment to a selected non-profit (Give apple trees, not apples).
When we find all three elements then we have found a true partner that we want to work with long term. When that happens it’s a beautiful thing…
